After the last in-person meeting between the partners, held in March in Puglia, the TouriSME project is moving toward its conclusion, estimated for June 2023. The meeting included the matchmaking event for SMEs in the tourism sector and was organized by Sistemi Formativi Confindustria at Masseria Montenapoleone, in the Brindisi countryside, with a participation of more than 30 companies in the tourism sector. Thanks to the attendance of experts, various aspects related to sustainability in the tourism sector such as customer perception and experience, market scenarios and case studies on sustainable tourism were discussed in depth.

TouriSME, in which the Sant'Anna School is a partner, is a project co-funded by the COSME program that has seen the participation of 65 SMEs including hotels and similar accommodations, vacation accommodations, travel agencies, tour operators and related businesses, located in Spain, Italy, France and Cyprus. TouriSME aims to promote the implementation by European SMEs operating in the tourism sector of more sustainable, low-carbon and resource-efficient business models. SMEs since November 2021 have been able to participate in training courses, matchmaking events for international cooperation and knowledge exchanges, as well as benefiting from tailored mentoring and financial support to access environmental certifications.
